    Default Cypripedium calceolus

Cyp Calceolus is the one and only 'lady slipper' growing in the wild in Europe
It grows outdoors and I gather it's a rather difficult one to cultivate.
I therefore really hope I will manage to keep it alive, as it didn't come cheaply...

Beautiful picture Rudy, and you're right - it's the one and only 'lady slipper' growing in the wild in Europe: I'm waiting to bloom here at the foot of our Alps. Because of the long winter blooms a little later this year, I do hope I will not miss that. It seems that I already missed Oprhys's blooming.
I do hope you will manage to keep it alive.

That is a beautiful lady slipper, Rudy. When I lived in Minnesota, I would see them in the woods where I rode my horses. They would bloom every spring when the snow melted. Enjoy your new orchid! Betty :-)

I understood that it is easy to grow in abroad.
Just know from you that it is not easy to grow.
In addition, it is hard to see its bloom, as well.
    How lucky you are.
    Nice blooming.^V^
