Always a cute slipper orchid. I wish I could grow this one.

    Cheers,

I bought Cypripedium reginae, Cypripedium calceolus and Cypripedium formosanum in size C3 and they all grew the first season very well. I grew them in a pot and they had to survive a winter in the pot. Only Cypripedium reginae managed to survive 5 degrees F during winter – tough orchid. They were protected by styrofoam. Now after three years I hope, I will be able to observe my Cypripedium reginae in bloom to – or maybe next year!? I just don’t see any spike forming yet. Thank you for sharing these pictures; beautiful plants and obviously great growing!

Very nice Cyps. Your C reginea album is beautiful. These grow wild in a few places up here, and it is bloom now...I'm going on a hunt this weekend.
