I think that it deserves an AM but of course that's just looking at the picture.. I understand OSSEA is now using the AOS type scoring system. How many points did it score? Just curious to know.

Not too sure of the score as I did not ask them.
It scored very high on the colour and markings but low on its shape and size. I agree it could have been higher if not for the size and shape. Hopefully the subsequent bloom will improve and off course the offsprings if the cross is successfully. I have used the pollen to cross with a round leucochilum as well as a very large dark leucochilum.

Hope the size and shape will improve as the plant matures. Was just reading up on the judging of paphs from an old copy of AOS Awards Quarterly (1984) re the shape which was too much weighted towards the tea-cup type. Well I am sure 'Blacky' didn't miss by much. Anyway 'good luck' with your cross.

    Hi Yew Sung,

    Tks.
Will you be coming to Singapore at the end of this year.
You can time your visit such that you can see our local meeting/show which is held every 1st sunday of the month. The December meeting will be held on 5th Dec. I will not be in Singapore during this date. If you need details for the show, drop me a line. I think the Penang Show is also in Dec but not sure of the dates.

    Regards,

    Joseph
