    Talking Paph. Edna Ratcliffe 'Mem. Barry Bell' x lowii 'Colchicini'

    Well here is an updated pic. Im not sure if the petals will twist more, but if they do i'll post another pic. It is just beautiful, and I cant wait for the next bloom to open.

    Nice going, Tracy--good for you!

    Interesting clonal name on the lowii parent; colchicine is the chemical used to artificially "upgrade" 2N seedlings to 4N when they're being flasked. Wonder if this means the lowii is 4N. It wouldn't happen to say on the tag, would it?

    Nice colouration of the petals and lip there Tracy. Had a quick check of the parents on this and it's species contents are lowii (obviously ), glanduliferum, rothschildianum and philippinense. Not sure why I looked it up... but might give an indication of how much more twisting and petal elongation might happen...
