Brachy season again - and what a bunch of gorgeous godefroyae again!! My choice ? 157-3 for overall form; 5009-7 for those fantastic markings; AP68-2 for a very impressive dorsal; 136-2 for the yellowish/cream colour and apparent substance..

Love that Paph Yang-Ji Apple. What's the cross?

I wish I could all the 4 traits in 1 cross. Anyway I am not making any cross with these 4 flowers as they are not the standard that I wish to set for crossings.
Paph Yang Ji Aplle is a primary cross between philippinense and anitum. You can log into my blog which I have some write out on all the flowers. The link is:

    PaphYeo

When will you arrive for the WOC?

    Regards,

    Joseph.

Thanks Joseph. Most probably a few days before the WOC. Hope to meet up with you and Vincent and others from OTF. Any way I will be in Singapore for 2 weeks.

Lovely, slippers were probably my first orchid. Lady Slippers grew wild in the Connecticut where I lived as a small child and we were told we were ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED to pick them because it was against the law. I don't know if this was true in the early 1950's, but it sure made an impression at early age for respecting endangered plants and obeying the "no-picking, no-digging" rules to ensure their survival.

157-3 is gorgeous. I think that has to be my favorite looking Paph. ever. Simply fantastic IMO.

I've heard they grow wild in CT but I've not had the pleasure of ever seeing them

These are gorgeous plants Joseph! I know godefroyae is on my wish list, the cream/white is just so stunning with the purple/burgundy markings
