    Sadie,

Once you flower a roth and see it, you will marvel at how nice they look.

    Paphman, thanks for the info.

I just bought a Roth outcross. I duno the cross off the top of my head. They had one of the parents in bloom there and it was stunning. I can't wait to get mine to bloom. A few years to go yet.

How big is your plant? They generally flower on one growth with a new start. When they are 12 inches in leafspan give them high light (less than Cattleya) and the leaves should be light green. They will grow much faster and will bloom when it gets to about 24 inches in leafspan (depending on the cross).

Hi to all, sorry by write not before, my work steals me many hours and there is gave that I cannot read messages.
I insert a photo of the first one flower of my Paphiopedilum rothschildianum 'Mont Millais' FCC/AOS x 'Rex' FCC/AOS with alone two flowers, and with the floral stick deformed by the growth during the transportation: Taiwan -} Italy -} Spain. As is the first one flowers, the color was not very intense, I waited for the nex, and if there is luck... equal improvement. The flower has a tip 28cm measure to tip of the petals. The leafspan greater have 40cm.
Of another hand, I insert photo deformation sinsepal Paphiopedilum philippinense that someone to ask.

    Thanks to all

nice well-balanced roth. maybe next blooming it will produce those typical towering spikes.

I noticed that split synsepal on both of my philippinense that have bloomed to date, and only on the first flower on each plant. I can't explain it. Maybe something environmental.
