    Default Phragmipedium Fliquet 4N

I am really excited over this one because it is my first Phrag to have bloom for me. I bought this from a friend for $15 last autumn. He couldn't get it to bloom and didn't believe they needed more water than Paphs. I have had it sitting in a saucer of 1/4 inch of water--I use bottled for this one and the other small phrag I have. It started to spike in May and just opened this past weekend. The cross as written on the tag is Mem. Dick Clements' Rocket Flash' 4N x Grande 'Vista' 4N. It is probally written incorrectly and I will be quickly corrected. It was a seedling in 2005 and repotted every year according to my tag. It never bloomed until now. It has two mature growths plus the one in bloom and a strong young growth plus[ a new growth forming. Am looking forward to future blooms and seeing how they develope. I am really getting hooked on Paphs and Phrags. The pictures are in sequence from Friday evening when the first bud started to open hrough this evening (Tuesday)

Thanks guys. I really am excited about this one ---especially since it is my first. I think the flowers on phrags are so dramatic. I have never seen one that I didn't love.
