Default New NOID Slipper--Lost the Tag

Unfortunately little hands of either a 4 year old or a 2 1/2 year old decided to remove a couple tags from grandpas orchids. I would love to know where they were put! One of my nicest Paphs fell victim. If anyone can identify it for me I will be very grateful. When they were in bud I would look at them and think that each should be holding a sax and be featured in Fanatasia. LOL This is the first slipper that I have grown to develope into this nice a plant and produce this many blooms at the same time.

Ohhhhhh...Those are so beautiful, Bill. I know I've seen lady slippers like this before. I believe that someone here will be able to give you their name. I don't grow slippers, so I would not know their name...Betty

I have one that (as I recall) looks a lot like this, but I can't help with the name. Anyway, congrats--it looks beautifully grown!

There are dozens, maybe hundreds, of hybrids with this general appearance. Laserlight, Friederick von Hayek, Raisin Magic and Hsinying Maru are just a few that could look like this - Maudiae-type hybrids with a significant amount of Paph sukhakulii influence. I don't think it will be possible to make a precise identification unless it is an awarded clone, and even then it is far from certain.

Those look very nice! I like the plants for their foilage...very pretty the mottled leaves. The flowers are the icing on the cake.

Beautiful slipper orchid blooms, Bill. Hope you can remember or recognize the name if someone suggests it.

    Cheers,
