This a GORGEOUS paph - and a species, too! Congrats. The colors are just beautiful, as are the photos. How old is the plant? What do you use for a camera - do you use a macro lens? The only paph species I have is a delenatii, but it's about 4 years from blooming, at least. I have a vinicolored hybrid that has paph. fairiannum as one of the parents, - it's in bud now, but I'll be fascinated to see how much of the species parentage comes through - and I'd love to be able to get some macro shots of it like yours.

This species was named by Guido Braem - the German orchid taxonomist - in honour of a guy who introduced a good many new orchids to the world in the lat 20th century ; I think that he was Henry Kolapaking - and P.kolapakingii is also named for him .
I also think - maybe someone can correct me - that he was the guy caught illegally importing a great quantity of very rare paphs ( all of which are now virtually extinct in the wild as a result of illegal collecting) - and went to prison (in UK as my imperfect memory recalls it ) for six months as a result.

I've read a couple of interesting articles on Azadehdel. But then, most of the collectors/importers all have interesting stories.
