Thanks Al, she is nice and 'clean' isnt she? Do you know what i mean when i talk about those dinner plates? They also tend to look like someone either threw watercolour paints at them, or threw mud at them lol!

Gotta say I love this paph! I'm about three months from turning 20, and I've all but stopped getting this special treatment at all. [This is in regards to my other hobby- collecting antique pocket watches, which I have done since I was 13...] Gone are the days when auctioneers used to ignore other bidders to let me get a watch for cheap! Ha ha ha. All of my orchids though have come from BBS or the interwebz, so I haven't had any experiences with this!

Whoo, but I digress. Great looking paph! I know what you mean, a lot of the hybrids I also think are pretty ugly. My only paph is one of those, and although I was a little disappointed when it opened, I still love it cause it's my only one! Ha ha. Seriously though, great paph.

Jordan, sorry but I am not sure about the "dinner plate" Paphiopedilium's. I know I have grown and seen 'dinner plate' size Dalia flowers if your denoting the large size of the hybrid blooms. I do know I am not big on the multiple bumps I have seen on some Paphiopedilium's. They make the flowers look warty to me. Having said this though I have seen some spectacular paphs and can see why some people specialize in them. AL

Thanks Zachary, and Al, i mean that cause the flowers are largish, and they are so round! they look unnatural to say the least....

Superb! I sure would pay a lot more than that for this plant, if I could grow complex hybrids.. Looks like it is one of the yellow complexes with a lot of insigne or druryi in the background.. No definitive ID
