    Default Paph primulinum var. purpurescens

Here is a first-bloom paph species, primulinum var purpurescens. I'm not sure if this is fully open as the dorsal is not quite straight but who knows??? Still a fun little plant with 3 or 4 buds showing! This family of paphs just bloom and bloom!

Garland, that is hella-cool. Did you grow it up from a seedling?

    Louis,
I've had this plant for close to a year. I bought it as a small seedling during a business trip to Sacramento for cheap, $8 as I recall. Anyway, this was one of my first experiments with s/h for paphs. It seems happy though I'm not sure it is doing any better than a primulinum flavum, Salvadore Dali, and other family members that are in a standard CHC/Aliflor/char mix.
    Thanks
