    Default Miss Paph. Makuli Magic

Oh, this little gem really gets my imagination going - it's a pretty small sukhakuli-influenced Maudiae, very dainty and petite - quite the little miss!:

Here she is being shy and sweet:

And here, she's out to get your attention - very self-confident and bordering on flirtatious:

And yes, she is being repotted.....

YES - and the pixieish attitude to go with it - this little one has been in the same position for 5 weeks now - plenty of natural light and a good straight stem, so no excuses - just making mischief!

    Maura--

    Cute orchid!

I haven't studied paphs much, so maybe you can answer a question for me. I know that Paph. Maudiae = callosum x lawrenceanum, but the term "maudiae-type paph" has always confused the heck out of me. Does it mean a paph that has Maudiae as at least a grandparent (like yours?) Or, one that has Maudiae anywhere in its lineage? Or does it simply mean it shares mottled leaves &/or certain other "maudiae-ish" characteristics?
