Default Paph British Bulldog x Avenger

I am quite pleased with this one; I have several of this cross, most have flowered before, maybe this one too, and they do vary a bit in quality of flower from one year to the next for obvious reasons, but this is the best looking flower of the cross that I recall.

Geoff, that truly is a grand and glorious orchid: worthy of you, I might add!

That dorsal is huge! Also love the color and the markings. Wish I could grow those here.

Oh, I like this one! You can tell it has very solid substance. Those are so tempting...I just have never done well with them, and i'd hate to kill something so lovely!

Truly remarkable! The circular shape is amazing, a sight to be seen! All credit to your green fingers.

Fascinating, Geoff - I've been eyeing the bulldogs for a few weeks now and was intimidated that they might be much more difficult than Maudiaes and their other hybridized species (i.e. lawrenceanum x fairrieanum, etc). Do you cultivate them the same as a Maudiae? Or do they require much different care? I'd really like to widen my paph horizons a little.

Geoff will certainly know far better than I, Maura, but if I'm remembering correctly, I think they generally prefer cooler temps than the Maudiae types.
