    Default Paph barbatum

My favourite species paph. Ever! Native to Malaysia and quite widespread. These are recent additions to my collection, purchased in flower. I think from Taiwanese breeding, the plants are multigrowth and very compact:

Smaller flower, a bit wonky petal:

#1 & #2 are quite nice. I would like the color in #1 in #2 but you can't have everything. #3 needs another flowering or the boot.
Thats a nice Phally plant #2 is in front of also.

A good barbatum is the perfect essence of Paphiopetalum distilled down to one species. Always a pleasure to see.

Very nice indeed. I have seen so many hybrids like this, I would not have guessed this was a species at first glance. Thanks so much for sharing it.

    cheers,

I like them all I would just be excited to get them to bloom let alone worrying about if they are perfect. Guess that must be the newbie in me lol

Thanks all. Now to rebloom it. I failed several times with barbatum from various sources previously.
