Thank you, Geoff. You have mightily clarified my understanding of ploidy, which I find fascinating! Now I really understand why growers emphasize their plants with triploid and tetraploid (I did know that was the term - brief brain fritz) genetics. So..... without the free lunch (aside from your second birthday celebration) do you have a preference? I would think that, unless one wished to hybridize, a paph or phrag with triploidy would be preferable.
