Oh, wow - another species paph I have to have. It's beautiful - I love the colors! Is this one especially hard to grow?

I hate dealing with name changes and they always confuse me, but according to Kew, the accepted name is Paph appletonianum. Hainanense is a heterotropic synonym. Coincidentally, I just posted mine which is in bloom right now also with two blooms. But since I am new to the forum, I have to wait to have my post approved. So it should be up sometime soon I hope.

Me too. I think the taxonomists must have too much time on their hands. I have been aware of the appletonianum/hainanense discussions, but I guess I am slow to change.

Just bought one of these in bud. I didn't realize how tiny they are.
