Now, its not so important what plant is it. Rather is, ( so i believe ) that this detail of bloom can reveal us, what a lot off wonder is in the Orchids world ..

I'm gonna sound like a broken record repeatingmyself again, but WOW!, Great contrast of colours. I absolutely love slippers so this is such a treat. Thank you Jürgen.

Now Katrin, you are pulling our leg! A phragmipedilum? They have been registered for sure, and people claim to have grown and flowered them but will we now be seeing the real thing? hehehehe...

Actually the staminoid is very red like a bessae and the green is very much like malipoense.

I'm going to go for a vietnamense x malipoense cross though.

    Cheers
    Tim

Oh Jurgen, it's lovely. It's going to have to go onto my "when I get more room list". Such a wonderful color scheme, and a great photo!

I liked it so well I went and looked for it on the web.... Interesting, there were 7 photos I could find, and only one had a white (or close to white) pouch. The rest had green and yellow pouches. Jurgen, your's is the best!
