    Default Miniature Phrag. Green Hornet

I bought this about 18 months ago from the breeder, who was re-making the cross using a miniature form of longifolium. It is Phrag. longifolium ‘Gracile’ x Phrag. pearcei ‘Ian Johnson’

Anyway, this is its first time blooming, and it has had 5 blooms sequentially (usually two open at a time). It is also my first time ever to bloom a phrag.

I am very pleased with it. And I must note: It was in bud when I left Dallas at the end of June for a month-long biz trip...my DH not only kept it alive, but kept it happy while I was gone!

    Hi Magnus--

Yes, it is not a great pic, but this shows the plant itself. It is in a 4" pot.

    Thank´s Kathi
It make the flower more impressive when it is shown in relation to the "small" plant!

Kathi, there's a trick I just learned recently. If possible place the orchid so that the black background is 4 or 5 feet behind the plant. That will cause the background to be out of focus and less distracting, also the shadow of the plant won't be on the background. Just a suggestion.
