This is a particularly good Paph. Lynleigh Koopowitz - I can't take credit for growing it because it's on loan from my local orchid nursery, along with a phal that I'll post soon. It's so fun to have an orchid nursery grower who knows and trusts you!
By the way, P. Lynleigh Koopowitz is the crossing of Paph. delenatii by Paph. malipoense. The malipoense contributes to the size and shape of the cross, while the delenatii kicks in with the delicate white with pink/purple overtones. It is slightly scented raspberry (you have to get up close).
Harold Koopowitz named this for his daughter and it's become one of the most popular primary hybrids. It is particularly successful because both parents are Parvisepalum, so that no Paph. alliances have been crossed here.
Oh yes, a lovely slipper orchid bloom indeed! Nice photo too Maura.
Great shot, Maura! Lovely lighting!
I like the full-length portrait and that 'pose' with a slight tilt of the head to the right. So ladylike!
Very nice flowers! Love it.
Nice pics Maura! And a gorgeous paph. I'm really loving white paphs lately...I really should get one.

Wonderful photos Maura. I love this bloom! A Paphiopedilium with 'a light touch'. AL
