Good size for a 1st flowering Yew, not a large plant either. Has a good future.

Doesn't look to me that it has an alba parent. It's possibly a wild collected plant as this species is from Thailand.

I may be wrong but I think this is a 1st flowering seedling from a crossing. Not a wild collected plant.
The reason I suggested it may have "Paleface" or an alba type parent is that the spotting is somewhat transparent that is typical of paleface & others of the like. A standard suk' usually has spots that are densely colored.

Thanks Roy, for the info. I believe this is grown from a seedling and not wild collected. The vendor has number of similar size plants which look as if they may have come out from the same compot/flask. Very interesting info re the 'typical' suk and the 'alba' type. After reading your post I went to have a closer look at mine and true enough the spotting is as you described. I hope the other one (looks like a bud is coming out) I have from the same vendor will look a bit different - not that I dislike the present one; far from it. Just would like two dissimilar types for the sake of variety. Again , thanks Roy for the info - learning a lot about paphs from you.
