    That's a Stanhopea platyceras, a fairly rare Stan from what I hear. Both the plant and the blooms are on the large side; that bloom was approx 6.5 in. across and 4 in. down: leaves can get to about 20 in or so. Basket culture, tree fern/ sphagnum, low to medium light....

    A real beauty if ya ask me

    don't give up on the paphs, pete. it took me a long time before i rebloomed any, and I still don't grow them anywhere near as well as I'd like. (Louis did all the work on this one, he must have had it >5 years from flask).
