    Default Paph philippinense

Here's my Paph philippinense which bloomed in February last year. You'll notice that the newly opened flower at the top (4th from the bottom) has only 1 or 2 twists in the lateral petals. As the flower matures the petals become more twisty (the flowers at the lower part of the stem). I think yours would most probably develop in the same way, if they have not already done so.

This year my philippinense seem to be late in blooming - but I hope I get 2 spikes this time.

Beautiful! Love the stripes. When i first read your post and about your disappointment was hoping you would repost when the blooms were fully developed. I knew you were going to be in for a pleasant surprise . I love the striping on the dorsal of this one as much as the spirals.

And it's even sweeter because of your initial disappointment, right?!

I have one of these. Not sure the var. though. I think* it's just philippinense only. I wouldn't be disappointed! It is very beautiful
