Lovely - lucky you, to be starting out in the pleasantly addicting experience of growing paphs!!! I agree with Yew that it appears to be P. glaucophyllum, a very nice sequential bloomer.

ON my side, I grow some. Not gotten flowers on but I persevere to get lol. I have 9 at home. Two are young (stonei and Lady Roth) others are on blooming size but more new growths than flowers. I let two of them at a friend during many months the last year as I had a trouble of place and many growths rotten at him's. So I took them back home and they are recovering but I must be patient before they are stronger.

I have a paph that came with a tag that read glaucophyllum and for 3 years it was never without flowers (sequential bloomer as Maura mentioned) and I posted pictures of it in OT but 2 years ago, a paph expert identified it as a liemianum and I duly corrected the tag. Since then it has been sulking - no new growth and no flowers. At the beginning of this year I decided to split the plant and repotted the 2 divisions. Both plants are doing very well vegetatively and I hope to see some blooms soon. ( I have not placed any name tags on them - just in case they start to sulk again_.

Yew sung - you are so funny! I should think a Paphiopedilum previously labeled a mere glaucophyllum would be wildly thrilled to be elevated to the status of liemianum; however, perhaps my perception of the imaginary stati accorded Paphs is reversed. In other words - I far prefer liemianums! So sorry yours are sulking - perhaps you should label them rothschildianums??? I would think that the top tier in the paph aristocracy.
