Default My Paphiopedilum haynaldianum first time bloomer

I am soo excited this is the first Paph. that I have raised from a seedling and bloomed. I got this plant in early 2011 as a small seedling out of flask for 6 months I think with a fan 3-4 leaves of roughly 3 inches and now its blooming for the first time with a single flower this time, may be more the next time. I think this seedling is very superior in terms of the pattern on the dorsal and has some potential in the future. Here are the photos.

Congrat! I thought it took years for an orchid to become blooming size! It is lovely!

I am awful with baby plants normally. I bloomed a couple dendrobiums that were babies when I got them and I have to say it was a very happy time. I can imagine with one like yours the accomplishment would have been ten-fold....wtg!

Wow - 2011 was only two years ago, but you've got it dancing already. You're amazing, Amey!

Very pretty! It's not easy to raise an orchid from seedling to blooming size. I think you did an excellent job of growing that.

Thanks a lot Connie, Patty, Ed, Bill and Jeff for your compliments. I have previously bloomed from seedlings some Phals and Catts and Vandaeceous, but this is the first time for a Paph. so am super happy and excited. Now I just keep my fingers crossed for 4 seedlings from other crossings I got with it.
