I buoght this one last year. Now it is blooming again. It has good shape, very lovely. But in size, it is small, and stripes are not so good.

It's still lovely Chian. Is this also white, the photo makes it look yellow, but I thought these were always white?

nice rounded shape, and the thing i love about this species is the 'clean' pouch.

do you think the size of the flower will increase as the plant gets older?

    cheers

This one is importfrom Thailand(bare root) , I saw the photo of it and bought it. The original owner of this leucochilum told me that it was larger last year. So, yes, I think it will improve in size next year whe root system is more stronger. But I think the change may not be significant....

The photos indeed deceive people. Look at the first one. It is very yellow because I turn on the "cloudy day white blance mode". Every thing turn yellow, and the color is not correct.
The second one, I took in the morning, under morning sunshing the color seems to be more white in the photo. It is too pale, not like the true color. The third one is based on the second photo. I adjust with software, and I feel it just like the true color of this leucochilum. So, no, it is not white, it is yellow.

so pretty whatever shade of colour it is... the shape I think makes such an impact.

How big is the flower on this plant and comparatively, how big are the flowers generally on other plants?

Sorry for asking so many questions, Chian, but your flower has got me really interested in this species.

    cheers

This leucochilum's NS=5.8, DS=4.3 cm.. I think NS from 5.8~7.0 are general and normal. NS over 8 cm. are good.
But we can see what Japanese are doing now.....

These amazing leucochilum are over 9 cm., even more than 10 cm., and have so great color and stripe! No wonder they are awarded the GM and FCC......

Comapre to them, my leucochilum is nothing......
But she is still so lovely in my eyes!

But on the other side, when size get larger, that means petals are more flat, and the shape will not be so round......

Chian, yours are better because they are yours! And they are a lot better than my poor leocochilum cross...
