    I have heard that it is supposed to smell like that, primarily from the delenatii, I think. My Lynleigh was made with delenatii alba, which I think accounts for its whiteness relative to yours, which definitely shows pigmentation from the malipoense (greenish dorsal), and a more typical delenatii, which accounts for the pinkish tinges. I wonder if different parent cultivars influence fragrance, as they do color.

    Yours is very beautiful, and I am envious of the fragrance!

    Here's a shot of mine again - it's just about gone right now, but it's been in bloom for 10 or 11 weeks, so I can hardly complain - I will miss it, though.

    They are very beautiful Maura.
    I have both delenatii and delenatii in bud right now and will report you about the scent when they open the next weeks
