Thanks Jan . I grow all my paphs outdoors 24/7 under 70% shade cloth. Under my growing conditions I would have to say moderate light and high humidity - humidity is 75 -90% all year round. BTW I visited a nursery this morning and found a lot of bellatulum for sale mostly with flowers @ around US$13 each. Would have bought a couple if I had not got a few already. Instead I bought 2 Phal cornu-cervi in spike (red, at least that's what the nursery man told me) and a very attractive NOID cattleya. the 3 for US$26.

Sounds good Cattan I have a cornu cervi with 3 spikes in flower But phals species and primary hybrids are quite complicated to grow here. In midst of summer I have lost a couple of them due to too high temperatures in my greenhouse. I was on holiday and had automatic program of watering and misting. Unfortunately we had the hottest summer since years so on some days temperatures peeked upto 52 degrees celcius in the greenhouse
Now 6 weeks later i can say that damages are not as bad as i thought Orchids are often so strong and adaptive.
