Default Now watering with 100% Superthrive

Ok, this thread is about my Paph. Supersuk ‘Eureka’ AM/AOS x Raisin Pie ‘Hsinying’.

First bloom a year ago was fine. Nice flower, pretty coloration, few raisins, but what the heh... The first two pics are from a year ago.

The plant's grown like crazy and this is the new spike (pic 3.)

It now seems to be a mutli-floral. The first flower is slowly opening, and as best I can tell, seems fine. The second looks peloric, but it's hard to see in this photo. What should be the dorsal covering of the bud is more around the left side, with nothing on the right. Stay tuned, Bat fans!

Gotta love the mottled umbrella over all! Anyone ever see a leaf on a spike like this?

Am thinking of entering it for Letterman's "Stupid Paph Tricks!"

    Julie

PS - Just kidding about the Superthrive!

With your avatar, Atester? Look who's talking!

No Tim; no radiation. I do control pests by microwaving my plants, but one's never done this before. I can only conclude that it's an overexposure to bagpiping.

Thanks, BD! It's good to be back. Now I have to be careful I don't get sucked into the forum beyond playtime (that is, I have to make sure all my homework is done first.)
