Very beautiful. I bought a spiceranium in bud, but it blasted. Now, it's growing a new fan, but the old fan is struggling to survive. I think I have something wrong in it's culture.
My other paphs (hybrids) are doing fine, but no blooms this year.

I found paphs easy to grow, don't over water them, just keep them moist. Most of the plain green leaves paphs prefer tobe kept cool at night, and will bloom once temp drops to 12-15C for a few weeks at night.
I also use to mist them ( both upper and lower sides of leaves) once a while with a week fert solution early in the morning.

And for the hybrid paphs that doesn't bloom, try to give them a drop of temp at night for a few weeks, hopefully they'll bloom.

They did bloom last year (in summer though). This year, having the same conditions, they didn't bloom. Perhaps I didn't fertilize enough. I don't know. Well, at least they're growing new fans so perhaps next season they'll make up for skipping blooming this year.

Again, as a relative newbie with orchids, I am finding myself wanting more paphs!!!! I have only one now.

I know it is a sickness but when I see specimens like these, the sickness takes over. And I can't control the desire to have one like it at home (I like the one with the spots and I am assuming it is the venustum ). Fortunately, we are just getting our first big cold blast and snow of the season. Temps have dropped from mid-50's F, to now near 20 F in the last 6 hrs. I won't buy an orchid until it gets warmer. Maybe next week!

I did buy and have received a Paph Venustum! It is not in bloom or spiking but looks good. A member of the 'spree-let' of paph orders!

I certainly will post images of it when it does bloom! I can't wait. I love the veins on the outside of the lip.
