Maudiae types are some of the easiest orchids to bloom. They like being a bit on the warm side but are tolerant of nights into the upper 50s. Don't let the potting media get dry. You probably already know it but paphs are terrestrial and usually have some peat moss or other fine material in the media. They don't like to be sopping wet but evenly moist is good. Good luck with it!!!

As for tips I can say that it prefers a litle warmer climate. As for light and fertilization i grow my Maudie vinicolor similary like the others. Of course beeing in a warmer place meens more frecvent wattering, I usually water every 3 days, by pourring watter in the pot. It grows fast, flowers about every 9 to 10 month. Defenetaly a good choice for a first paph

Sorry, I didn't realize Wade allready posted the same tips. Ss a futher sugestion you could buy a Maudie var alba, they would look nice together, in a cclour contrasting way

Second bud opened. Unfortunately since it is a secvential bloomer, as the second bud opens, the first bloom fades away.

Very nice. Even if the first bloom is wilting, it still looks very beautiful.
