This is a month old purchase that has a new open bud.

These are also my first images with my new lights and black backdrop. No flash.

Unfortunately, no fragrance. It would be almost the perfect Paph if it was scented!

Beautiful paph - lovely pictures! Well done Harvey. Could you give some info on the lighting setup, exposure etc.?

My new 'studio' set-up consists of 2 CFL 6500K lamps with a black muslin backdrop. I am still fine tuning my parameters mostly lighting tweaks to get the best result. I think I'll be either needing to use my tripod as my shutter speed is 1/25th without flash or use the flash in addition to the studio lights.

Textbook lighting calls for: a back light, a key light and a fill light. The lights I have are diffused light. So I have 2 fill lights in reality. The flash is what gives me a key light. I may play with using one as a back light

My Master bedroom had been immune to orchids. It is the only room besides the laundry room and bath room don't have any orchids in them. But now it has become my orchid photo studio.

I use an upside down 5 gallon bucket to elevate a light if I need to.
