    Default Paph primulinum hybrid??

This paph I bought today after I came out from a psychotherapy workshop on trauma and abuse. It was my gift to myself. I wonder if is pure paph primulinum or a hybrid of it??

Looks like it could be the species, not a hybrid.

It is not an intense yellow color as I have seen on forum. Are there variations in color??

As far as we can see in that picture it may be within the natural range of appearance for Paph primulinum. The intense yellows are mostly in hybrids or highly selected forms. A plant picture and some size reference would help. But there are so many mislabeled hybrids out there passing for Paph primulinum that I'm pretty skeptical of any mass market plant and many sold by orchid specialists. The hybrids are usually bigger brighter and more vigorous, so they grow faster and sell better, and if they can also be passed off as a select form of the species they bring in more money.

You can see it looks more like an album with different shades of green and just a bit of yellow

Seeing the whole plant picture my impression is that it is possibly too robust for pure primulinum.
