    Here is another one of my paphs ( see also P.barbatum, posted today). This is a big flower - a little over 4 inches natural spread . The petals are over 3 inches long, so if it were flattened out it would be well over 6 inches across..
    Widely used in hybridising in the early days of paph breeding, and probably responsible for that highly varnished look one gets on a lot of paph hybrids.
    I did once have a plant of this species which I got up to a specimen size with ( I think my memory is not exaggerating) 11 flowering growths ; I got a Cultural Certificate for that from the RHS. The flower form was not as good as this one . If this shows any sign of bulking up, I will keep this as a single plant and not divide, to see if I can do that again.
