Already open but not all the way are my Paphs Via Ojai and Via del Oro. I'll post them when they are "ready for their closeups, Mr. DeMille.." And my phrag Les Diroulles (I know I didn't spell that right) is about 3 -4 weeks away from opening. I'll be in Japan for 3 weeks then

LOL! There are some amazing orchids there, mostly fancy hybrids. But a few pleiones. Unfortunately, I have not found any vendors there with export permits for the US... (I'm sure there are some, but I am a little limited by language and transportation). And I'm afraid it's not worth risking the fines to smuggle one home in the luggage - (up to $20,000).

    *SIGH*

I think I would trust you most to pick one for me too lol. We seem to have the same taste in orchid colors and you would know way more than me how wonderfully healthy one is....
The one I am enjoying looking at the most right now is the one I bought at BJs Warehouse LOL! It is so healthy, the flowers are beautiful and even the roots are great to look at!
Well anyway, have someone watch your orchids and take lots of pics. And enjoy your trip! Please do not substitute smuggling me an orchid with raw fish.

Very exciting, Diane! Please post as it opens - don't wait for the final closeup. As much as you can, anyway, with the upcoming travel. I love to see the big blooms "in progress!"
