I really love the pouch on this one! The pink with green veins is superb!

Me too, the best part for color! Any chance of a close up inside the pouch, how far down does the color go?

The color goes all the way down in the pouch but is a dark maroon. Nothing special. Tough to image with my current equipment.

Did photography for University of Maryland's daily newspaper, The Diamondback, and the yearbook my first 2 years in college. then I moved into film/video study. Very impressive photo cv Harvey. I started film developing and darkroom work in 1958 while in teacher's college. During one of my month-long teaching practice in a school in Wolverhampton (UK) the teacher in charge of the school camera club took me under his wing and taught me a lot about photography esp lighting, darkroom work and composition. In those days b/w was the order of the day but I also remember my first roll of colour transparency film that I used for my first trip to Paris and Barcelona in the summer of 1958 - Kodachrome at the snail speed of ASA 12! I had a 35mm Braun Super Paxette, a leaf shutter camera with interchangeable lens. Of course like all enthusiastic shutterbugs then, we experimented with all manner of slow films and brews to achieve the ultimate in fine grain and resolution. I still remember my love affair with Adox film (supposedly developed for Leica cameras) and the developer Neofin Blue. My first attempt at developing colour was with Ferraniacolor which was notorious for its unpleasant colour cast.In the 1970's I switched to Ektachrome and Fujichrome (for slides) and Kodacolor and Fujicolor for prints. In the mid 70's I did my own colour prints and even tried Cibachrome (direct printing from slides). Now it's strictly digital and I don't miss film at all. But I do lament the demise of Kodak, Agfa, Adox, Gevaert,Ferrania,Konica.

Harvey, thanks for the try of the picture I had requested, I will ask again next year when it blooms and you have your new camera.

Wow now I have two of you to ask if I ever have any questions on photography!

    Yew-
We have more in common than orchids! I only developed color slides myself. I never had the opportunity or equipment to print color prints. Back in the day (late 60's), I do remember that once a sheet of color print paper was exposed to the negative with light, the paper had to be put back into a box to allow the reaction to complete before even developing the print. That was one of the issues that kept me in b&w.

I don't miss the chemical side of photography either. Though I did try some 'tricks' to get the results I desired which were often chemical and light manipulation.

As a side note- I deciphered the name Agfa recently and realized the Ag in Agfa is for silver (periodic table designation for silver is Ag, gold is Au)

So glad to learn that we share some common interests. My other interests are travelling, nature treks and fishing. Unfortunately due to advancing age, i have to cut down on the frequency of the last three activities. I have mentioned in a previous post my 15-day trip to Nepal with my eldest (53 years old) and youngest (42) sons in Dec 2014. We managed a week's trek to Dhampus and Nagarkot, 4 days in Chitwan National Park and the rest in the towns heritage sites of Pokhara, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. It was both a trekkers' (elderly) and photographers' paradise. I took close to 4000 pictures!
As to printing colour, it was the most tedious activity with hours of doing test strips for colour fidelity and exposures before the final print which had all to be done in the developing drum (not unlike the developing tanks for b/w - only bigger -) BUT like b/w the final result is so satisfying. Luckily we had access to the darkroom equipment of our camera club, including the the Durst enlarger.

Again Harvey, I'm very glad we share more than a love of orchids.
