that's the "new" term for plain old Conco-bellatulum, which has been around forever as a primary hybrid (since 1891). People more or less knew/suspected it was a natural hybrid, but apparently nobody ever formally described it until recently, when this "wenshanense" business was published. another one of those things where if you find it in the wild, it's supposed to be called wenshanense now, whereas if you breed it yourself crossing the two species, you get Conco-bellatulum. (i.e. another fine mess for registration purposes if you ask me, now that makes TWO in the brachy world--Greyi & x ang-thong are the same thing).

either way it is a very nice entity--gets the size and bold spotting from bellatulum, and ease of growth & yellow tones from concolor.

I will just tag these conco bellatulum. The third bud opened and its slightly different from the other two. Its been opened for 3 days now and its still cupped like bellatulum. I wonder how the flower of the 4th plant look like when it bloom? All three flowers have subtle fragrance.

There are 4 separate plants potted in 2 pots and since Jason brought my attention to the leaves I took a closer look and found out that there are slight variations in their patterns. I'm loving it!!

that's a nice one, almost like a yellow bellatulum.

if this is from a population that was originally collected from the wild, I suppose the "correct" name is now paph. wenshanense. but it should be pretty much the same thing as conco-bellatulum.
