My daughter gifted me with this orchid. Though I grow other orchids, I had no idea how to care for a Cypripedium. When it arrived it was losely packed in a handful of coarse, gritty mix. After researing it on the web and finding little info on 'Inge', I have planted it now in a mixture of riversand, perlite, sifted forest loam, ground up oyster shells and a handful of African Violet soil. It is outside under the eaves in morning sun. Temps are still in the mid 40s at night and mid 70s occasionally during the day.
A week ago the leaves turned a lighter color, then turned brown. I am very afraid I might lose the plant.
If you have any information of how to care for this plant, please share your experience with me.
Thank you very much!
