    Well,
You have to watch out for those "nice" guys but Jason sent me my first besseae (he was a genuinely nice guy).

Here is Jason's besseae flowering last winter.

    Hey,

Yours looks different than mine - what's that greenish brown thing attached to the flower???

nice--I didn't know that it had bloomed, Heather. characteristic line down the petals on most of the flowers. that one was first or second generation OZ material, they've really progressed since then.

I was really really happy with it Jason, but I will admit it has gone on to live with another sweet besseae freak like myself. I had to downsize when we moved to the city and had too many besseaes. But I know who has it - (PHRAG) I think you know of him so we can continue to track it.

I am not happy about letting it go now that I see the photos again. I hate selling my babies! I learned a SUPER LOT from that Phrag. Jason, you don't know the half of it! It got all the hurt I could dish it being un-knowing about besseae at the time. I learned so much thanks to your generosity!

It made me buy all the others.

hey, glad it had a good home and that it continues to! it was early breeding but really took a lot of abuse from me too, from changing media, to hot summers. funny thing about that one is that it used to send these hideously long 6" stolons between growths, but after a few years it stopped doing that altogether. did yours stolonize or grow neatly?

    It grew neatly!
My new OZ crosses are all doing the hideous stolon thing now though.

Hmm...will have to watch for that. How do you catch the stolons - frequent repotting?
