    Default Some Dartmouth Paphs

I was up visiting the Dartmouth greenhouse this week and ran around snapping pics of stuff in bloom. Unfortunately, in some of the rooms, the air movement and rumbling from the machinery (pumps, fans, etc.) kept flowers in perpetual motion. It was very difficult to get some to sit still for the camera.

Here we have a Paph. Julius (rothschilianum x lowii), a Phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentice (longiflium x sargentianum) and Phrag. pearcei.

Nice grouping! I enjoy looking at these pictures very much! Surprising enough, I don't have a Julius. Maybe it's time for me to get one?

Love the Paph Julius , stance is excellent.
Phrag pearcei is very good to.
Even though Phragenstein has produced well over 120+ flowers in the last 20 months i still find them very appealing.
    I don't have a Julius as i am trying to source a Paph Julius Kolbe(kolopakingii x Julius).

    Surprisingly, I love them all!

Funny, how Julius seems to be one of those really desirable plants but not many of us have them... I don't have it either...

    You're right, Tim-O!

Julius is a bit more regal, but I was given a Jerry Spence seedling this spring and I figure that's pretty close. JS = Berenice (lowii x philippinense) x roths.

Julius is lowii x roths. So many orchids...so little room!
