    I would love to try growing one. We have so much dust in the desert that it always sticks to the leaves of the violets. Yes, it penetrates everything in the house too. I haven't tried keeping one for many years, but am willing to try again. Thank you for offering.

    I love the substance of your Paph (Willur x Cherokee), its deep rich color and its ripples. The way it is reaching toward the viewer as if in welcome is quite endearing. If you find you just can't take the flower form, I'll be happy to take it off your hands.

    excellent color on the venustum! not enough of these in cultivation in my opinion.

    Here are two first time blooms. Neither was quite what I expected.

    First, Dr. Toot - this is an extremely pale one, hardly any stripes...

    Very nice, Diane! My Gege Hughes has both blooms open now. I should have some time tomorrow morning - I'll try and snap some pics. Amanda x Redstart is lovely! And give my regards to Dr. Toot! Whoever named that one should be shot!
