    Default Phrag. Sedenii

    A faithful bloomer. But, this year it's doing something new: in the first pic, if you look at the bract right below the one with the bloom, you can see that the spike is branching!

    Also, I am now prepared to report that rubber mulch (made from recycled tires) does work well as a S/H medium. I repotted it into this maybe three months ago.

    I have heard of people using the tires as medium in baskets, but never in S/H. How does it pull the water up to the roots? Or did you plant the roots below the side drain holes?

    Very nice
    I didnt realize the phrags were so beautiful.I have one of the others (slipper orchid) its beautifil but not like these.the one i have is a noid i got for free.
