    Default Phragmipedium Franz Glanz

I bought plant a few years ago as a seedling. This is its first bloom. I have it growing in primeagra. I want to take it to the Saginaw Valley Orchid Show this weekend, but this flower has been open since last week. I'm not sure if it will last to or through the show.

Oh that's a beauty! Similar to my Cape Sunset but yours has much more yellow. I know on mine the flowers last much longer than a week, so maybe you'll luck out!

I have see these guys just jump off of the spike while they still look like a million bucks. It is hard to guess if it will hang on. I say take it and take some superglue with you just in case!

    Cheers,

The next bud's formation is the trigger, not as much how long this one has been open. If the next one is growing slowly, you could get away with it.

    It's a beauty, though!

Their flowers last at least 4 weeks, often much longer so you should have no problems. It certainly is a beauty.
