    Awesome! It looks so regal. The name tiginum fits completely. I love it! Great photo, too. Like BD said, the lighting is enchanting.

    (just a little of my input...)

    This species is hard to grow at a smaller size. When around 3 or more growths, the species is VERY easy to grow. To bloom it is tricky for some people, they tend to blast the bud...

    I saw a really nice awarded one with 5 growths, 2 previously bloomed, for $1000.00 US.

    Is that the "Equinimity" clone that you saw? Did you see it in person?

    It's not a difficult plant to grow but it can be a tricky plant to bloom. Partcularly the older clones have a tendency to sheath and sit there for a year and then blast. The newer line-bred plants seem to be less prone to do this.

    I got this particular clone back in 1992. Luckily, it is not one that sheaths and then blasts. Normally the spikes emerge within a few weeks of the sheath's emergence.
