Fren, do you grow the Cypripedium in a bog?

She came up again this year . I have three blooms and five stems. The cloudy weather was perfect to take some snapshots, otherwise there is too much glare on the pouches. Also they are freshly opened so maybe the dorals will go up a little?

And I did this painting based on last year's bloom.

Very nice! I am searching for this variety in the wild here in NE Ohio. Cyps are somewhat magical to me! I may invest in a few for next year. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful painting Fren, you are quite talented... What type of medium are you using for your Cyps? I've been thinking about trying to grow some hardy orchids outside. Already, I have some Goodyera pubescens outside, but I'm thinking about maybe doing a whole raised bed with some Cyps and Bletilla, and maybe some Pleione and Platanthera and Ophrys and Orchis if I can find them.
