Well they say that plants respond to music. So maybe you'd better hide Julie's bagpipes ... would hate to see the flowers bloom in plaid.

If the flowers are plaid that would make them 'rare.' Quick, quick! Onto the auction site!

    What an amusing thought!

Talking about amusing, I was googling yellow roses earlier (all because I pass a really gorgeous one on my way to and from the station which smells a bit like lemons - I got caught the other night with my nose stuck in it as the owner put out her recycling) anyway, on googling yellow rose, lo and behold what came up? None other than a "gentlemen's establishment" in Austin, Texas - The Yellow Rose.

Now that could have been embarrassing had I been at work!

It's interesting, I have an apricot colored rose and it smells to me like apricots!

I ended up spending rather a long time on the website of a famous Rose nursery, and I was surprised by the descriptions of the scents. There were definitely some other fruity ones out there - it would make sense to match some fruit scents to colour - but how on earth do they do it? I just can't imagine finding a natural rose that smells of strawberries
