Default Paph. dianthum (you've seen it so don't look if you don't want to please!)

My blooms have grown and darkened and grown so I am posting a couple of requested pics.

Pete - the first isn't great, but was the best that shows the three blooms, but the second I *finally* captured the inside of the pouch so tell me if you can see the magenta ok?

    Oh, my *pleasure*!

Was a surprise to me as well, I thought the color was coming on the outside, but in reality, the mahogany blush to the pouch is the magenta showing through to the outside. How about that?

Thanks so much for posting, Heather! It was very nice to see my er sorry your dianthum again! The last time I saw the flowers, they were not fully developed yet and now they look exactly like mine!!! I like both pics and yes, I do see the "blue" inside the pouches, just like mine.

I absolutely love this species and I'm so happy that you love it too! I'm very happy to know that the dianthum is in good hands/good home. Hope you enjoy and take good care of it!

You bet, will do! and Thanks! Proud to have it in my care now.
I am so thrilled w/ that second photo - inside pouches is a hard shot to get! But this one, w/ the twisty petal interloping, and the shadows on the blue background. I just really like how the whole thing turned out!

Surprised tho - your's still looks darker to my eyes, Pete.

The shape and size are very similar to mine and I do agree that mine are darker but mine are also older, so yours may still turn darker. Keep me posted.

That is a great shot of the inside of the pouch, Heather! And a beautiful plant too! Thanks for the pic!

Those are gorgeous flowers - it's funny, I was thinking "man that looks like something Peter would grow!" And lo and behold, I'm getting the sense by the posts that you got this from Peter?

Yes, well, there ended up being two dianthums, beautifully grown in ME, so, I just had to capitalize on that! Lol!

Love my dianthum - it is so different!
