I was so excited my Paph Luk Luk (stonei x niveum) was going to bloom. This one has been a royal pain, reluctant bloomer with many growths and never a spike. Well I got one deformed flower without a spike, just the ovary and flower sticking out of the crown. I took the picture and tore out this abomination![]()
Some of these cross sectional Paphs and an occasion complex seem prone to this. I am hoping that it will send up a normal spike from the same crown. If I didn't like the leaf pattern, this plant would have been history long ago.!!

Ah, poor little thing. Trying so hard to bloom, and then you don't like it. LOL

So sad it didn't grow into a nice healthy bloom.
