I was so excited my Paph Luk Luk (stonei x niveum) was going to bloom. This one has been a royal pain, reluctant bloomer with many growths and never a spike. Well I got one deformed flower without a spike, just the ovary and flower sticking out of the crown. I took the picture and tore out this abomination
Some of these cross sectional Paphs and an occasion complex seem prone to this. I am hoping that it will send up a normal spike from the same crown. If I didn't like the leaf pattern, this plant would have been history long ago.!!
Sad looking thing...well, better luck with the next bloom!
That is odd. Poor thing.
Ah, poor little thing. Trying so hard to bloom, and then you don't like it. LOL
The pink color is pretty , poor baby, sorry it goofed up on you ..Gin
Aww don't be abusive to the poor thing...treat it like you would your other babies, this ones just a little special. It tried to make you happy...
I think you need to send it to me!!! I'll give it lots of tlc
So sad it didn't grow into a nice healthy bloom.
...and remember, it's not an abomination---just 'bloom challenged'.
