    Smile Don't know don't tell Paph ...

    Good day all,
For those of you who don't think paph don't flower arround october, think again ... I can prove all of you wrong. (look at the pictures), My paph bloom all year, it doens't matter summer or winter. I'm sharing my knowledge with beginer. For those expert i'm sorry if i step on your toe.
Personaly, i grow my paph for flower, doens't mean i don't care about root or leave. but it's a trade off, (notice i don't mention about medium i use, email me i will tell you), I trick all my bloom size paph by repot it every summer or if i think it is big enough to bloom then i repot it. When you repot alot, you don't have a good root or leave system, but that is not my focus. I just want to see my paph bloom. :-) ....

I am wondering who said paphs don't bloom in the fall? All of the information I have seen shows many species and hybrids blooming in every month of the year.

Good spiking by the way. Hope yours does better than the charlesworthii that blasted on me this week.

So what you're saying is that by repotting a paph every year, you can force it to flower, even though it won't have the strongest root or leaf system. Mmmm.... Maybe I should try it with my no bloomers.

I've also read on plenty of sites that paphs bloom the year through, though the main show is in autumn for most and in summer for the multiflorals.

Nice spiking by the way. Don't have the foggiest idea of what they might be though.

Paphs tend to bloom when they mature a new growth which could be any season. I only have one..but it has bloomed in the dead of winter, in mid-summer..and in late-fall.
