    Default My newest paph

These are pictures of my newest, and second paph. My grandmother spotted it at a local nursery and picked it up for me. When she gave it to me, I went to the nursery the very next day assuming they would have other paphs, but alas, I had already gotten the only one. Anyway, I'm pleased with it. The color is actually slightly brighter, but it's a fairly good representation, considering the quality of the camera I used. I'm not 100% sure I know how to post these pictures, so if it doesn't work let me know and I'll repost them.

Not sure. I don't really know how long is has been open for. I know the dorsal sepal works as a kind of hood to ensure that the slipper doesn't fill with rainwater, but in most of the pictures I see it's kind of hard to tell just how far it has folded over.

looks nice and dark. for these paphs give it several days for the flower to set, and then you can use a strategically-placed twist tie right at the top so that it faces YOU and not the ground.
