    To me, Berenice smells faintly of roses. Very faint, but there. And you better believe I checked it more than 10 or 20 times!

    I'm a pest - Peter, I want to see it when fully open on the BLUE background. I'm curious what the contrast would look like w/ the bright blue. Please??? (don't make me beg, ok??)

    OK, since you asked, I'll post another one with the blue background. The flower is not fully opened yet, so once the weather clears up, I'll take another one with the blue background. Will that be a good combo? Yellow flower with blue background?

    Wow, Pete! I really love the yellow one! Does it have faint stripes on the pouch like your red one?

    Speaking of fragrant Phrags, Phragmipedium caudatum petals to some smell like urine! But to me, they are non fragrant (thank goodness!).

    That's a little reminiscent (hahaha!!) of my Mtn. Maid... not quite, but rather sicky sweet. Icky. - Nancy - will you let us know how your MM smells when it blooms? I'll get a whiff of mom's tomorrow too. I wonder what causes it!?
